Opinel #8 Pruning knife, stainless steel

With its curved blade beveled on both sides the Opinel No8 pruning knife is the ideal tool for grape-picking, shrub pruning or cutting ties.

Made in France, this knife is strong and the blade thin and sharp. Opinel knives are the ones we use on our homestead and though we don't make these, we are happy to retail them.

There's a clever trick called the Coup du Savoyard to quickly open these knives. Simply tap the pointed tip at the end of the handle against a hard surface, which will pop the blade out enough for easier opening. You can even tap the bottom of your shoe for the same effect.
